Administer turnaround or exit of complex C&I and CRE credit relationships through restructurings and forbearance agreements for banks and financial institutions.  Evaluate overall quality and appropriately grade C&I and CRE portfolios to include exceptions in financial, loan and collateral documentation.  Develop and implement workout, turnaround and liquidation strategies in Commercial Real Estate and Commercial & Industrial loan portfolios.

Worked with in-house and outside counsel to compile forbearance agreements and facilitate negotiation of forbearance structure and implementation of remedies including rates, fees, repayment terms and liquidation options.  Controlled Bank’s collateral position to minimize potential loss.  Developed action plans to either protect and improve Bank’s position in credit through improved loan structure while borrower executes plan for turnaround, and/or developed strategies to compel borrower to exit bank.

National Penn Bank, Kingston PA (2007-2010)

Restructured $160MM commercial loan portfolio to improve overall risk rating.  Examined, evaluated, structured, recommended and implemented workout strategies for larger complex C&I and CRE loan relationships.  Analyzed borrowers’ and guarantors’ financial statements, cash flows, collateral valuations to measure and monitor performance and adherence to covenants within loan documents in addition to underwriting restructurings and forbearance agreements.

Supported team of 5 community office managers in developing business banking strategies to enhance existing and prospective banking relationships.
