EXPERIENCE

Managing Director, Loan Review Services, T. GSCHWENDER & ASSOCIATES, INC., (2014-Present)

In this Corporate staff level position, manages the entire Loan Review administrative process including pre-review activities, review support, data analysis and reports.  As quality control lead for Loan Review Services, ensures accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures.  Identifies and develops process improvements to Loan Review Services.   

FIRST NIAGARA BANK (2001-2014):

Senior Vice President, Managing Director, Enterprise Program & Project Management

  • Managed a portfolio of projects supporting Consumer and Commercial business lines, including the implementation of a new indirect lending system, new commercial loan servicing system, digital enhancements including the introduction of mobile banking and several other product expansion initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and managed vendor and contractor relationships.

Senior Vice President, Managing Director, Commercial Services

  • Served as the lead operations manager for the Commercial Banking division, supporting an $11 billion book of business.
  • Managed Cash Management sales, support and product development. Participated in calls with customers, developed sales and revenue plans, and managed overall customer support
  • Managed Commercial Loan Admin and Operations, including 6 direct and 100 indirect employees. Responsibilities included the administration and servicing of all commercial loans, compliance management and ensuring adherence to credit policy. Partnered with relationship managers and credit managers to deliver high quality customer support
  • Provided project support to 400-person insurance agency, focusing on the re-engineering of workflow processes and marketing/sales strategies
  • Lead the sale and divestiture of the bank’s Trust business
  • Served on a one-year strategic planning assignment focused on the integration and transformation of a collection of savings banks into a top 25 commercial bank.

Vice President Finance and Administration

  • Directed the preparation of all financial reporting required by regulatory authorities, management and board of directors.
  •  Managed deposit pricing including Municipal products.
  •  Completed branch profitability reporting, and coordinated branch relocations and divestitures.  

HOMESTEAD SAVINGS (1992-2001):

Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer

  • Lead the annual financial planning and budget process. Participated in strategic planning, including branch location and growth plans, introduction of new products and services, marketing plans and regulatory/compliance management.

Vice President / Treasurer:

  • Managed the Corporate Accounting team, including investments and cash management, GL functions including account reconciliations, accounts payable and payroll processing.
