Specialties include audits and review of general compliance programs and processes, implementing new regulations, assisting in interpreting and implementing new processes.  Assist Board of Directors review and develop policies to ensure compliance with the Board’s general obligations under Sarnabes Oxley.  Develop and implement pre-audit reviews of fair lending practices and lending strategies.

  • Helped credit union double in size, add significant branch network.
  • Responsible for legal risk management, regulatory compliance, negotiation of commercial real estate leases and purchases, operational issues and corporate governance.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FEDERAL CREDIT UNIONS (1993 - 1999)

Vice President/Regulations and Compliance

  • Created NAFCU’s highly regarded Compliance Assistance Program and Compliance Officer Certification Program.
  • Entered into publishing partnership with Sheshunoff  that developed a credit union compliance manual and a number of related guides for risk management. 
  • Served as Association’s Chief Regulatory Counsel.
